✅ Zazu Pet Health – Terms & Conditions


1. Nature of Service

Zazu Pet Health (“Zazu”) provides telehealth consultations for pets through video calls.
These consultations are intended for non-emergency care only and should not replace in-person veterinary examinations when required.

2. Non-Emergency Disclaimer

Our service is not suitable for emergencies or life-threatening conditions.If your pet is in distress (e.g., severe injury, uncontrolled bleeding, collapse), you must visit the nearest emergency veterinary clinic immediately.

3. Registered Veterinarians

All consultations are conducted by SAVC-registered veterinarians.The advice provided is based on the information you supply and the observations made during the video consultation.

4. Limitations of Telehealth

Telehealth consultations have limitations compared to physical exams.Zazu and its vets are not liable for outcomes if information provided is incomplete, inaccurate, or if an in-person exam was recommended and declined.

5. Prescriptions & Medication

Prescriptions may be issued at the veterinarian’s discretion, in line with SAVC and South African law.Medication deliveries are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.

6. Payment & Refunds

Full payment of R299 is required before a consultation is confirmed.Refund Policy:Refunds are not available once a consult is completed.If Zazu cancels your consult before it starts, you will receive a full refund.Missed or no-show appointments are non-refundable.

7. Privacy & Data

We collect personal information (including contact details and pet health information) to provide the service.All data is stored securely and in compliance with POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act).We will never share your data with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.Recording & AI ProcessingVideo consultations may be recorded and processed using secure AI tools to generate clinical notes and summaries for internal use.These notes are stored securely in Zazu Pet Health’s systems and are not shared with any third party except for the attending veterinarian.Recordings and AI-generated summaries are used solely for:Documenting the consultationEnsuring quality and continuity of careClient consent is required for recording and is implied by booking a teleconsultation.

8. Liability

Zazu Pet Health, its veterinarians, and affiliates are not responsible for any damages, losses, or injuries arising from the use of this service.By booking a consult, you accept these limitations and responsibilities.
